Target Hardening - Shed Security

Shed Security Indio Springs RV Resort experiences more shed break ins than any other, and, it is very easy and cost effective to prevent. First off when considering building or placing a shed, plan if at all possible to have the door facing the roadway in front. Why? Simple, bad guys do not like having their backs to the main point of detection. If the shed is placed sideways they can work on the lock and still have good field of vision to the roadway and the back. Take that away from them! Second, construction is important. All sheds should have the doorway wall and door lined with plywood to reinforce the construction. Next, hardware is critical. Operation Identification

Operation Identification (Operation ID) is a nationally recognized burglary prevention program in which citizens make an inventory of their property and permanently mark their valuables with an identification number, preferably a Driver’s License number. There are three important steps required to participate in the Operation ID program. The most effective way to recover stolen property is through the property serial number & DL combined. 1) You should record your property information, including description; make, model, and serial number on an inventory form 2) Property is marked with a stamp die kit, or electric engraver. Large/heavy equipment it should be marked with engraver or stamping.
